City Subdivision Development Update 9/16/23

City of Marion Engineering provided the following updates. Staff provides inspection for the development of all subdivisions and commercial sites within the city limits. This work begins with construction plan review and includes field quality control for storm and sanitary sewers, draintile, Portland cement concrete maturity, grade, air content, slump (water content) and pavement thickness. The City has adopted the latest version of Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS) and utilizes these standards for all subdivision construction.

Commercial Sites
Blvd Apts & Townhomes, 648 & 610 Marion Blvd – Construction is underway.
DMFA LLC Shell Building, 999 Enterprise Dr – Construction is underway.
Green Acres Storage, SE Corner of Hwy 151 & Hwy 13 – Work is on hold.
Green Park Apartments, 1002 31st St – Temporary occupancy has been given.
Iron Gate Storage – 1111 Eagleview Dr – Final grading and seeding remain.
Linn County Business Park, 5606 Business Ln – Construction is underway.
Linn Mar Admin Building – Site work has started.
Linn Mar Tennis Courts, Oak Ridge School – Bioretention basin area is complete. Punch list remains.
Marion Eco-Industrial, 4127 3rd Ave – Construction is underway.
MISD Auditorium – Site work has started.
MISD FMI Addition – Punch list remains.
MISD Parkview Elementary School – Site work started.
Tulip Tree Apts, 725 Oakbrook Dr – Construction is underway.

Subdivision Residential
Jacobs Landing, 1st Addition – Rathje. E Robins Rd, west of Mulberry Dr. Mass grading has started.
Marion Aircom Park, 2nd Addition – Abode. East of Airport. Work on hold.
Osage Estates, 1st Addition – Rathje. West side of Winslow Rd, south of Tower Terrace Rd. Winslow Rd improvements remain.
Silver Ridge Estates, 1st Addition – Pirc-Tobin. West of Alburnett Rd, across from Oak Ridge School. Punch list remains.
Silver Rock Estates, 2nd Addition – Pirc-Tobin. South of Echo Hill Rd, west of Alburnett Rd. Punch list remains.
Sycamore Heights, 1st Addition – NE corner of 35th Ave and 44th St. No site work has started.
Sycamore Heights, 2nd Addition – NW corner of 35th Ave and 44th St. Plans are being reviewed.
